ABOUT ME
THE STORY BEHIND THE THRIVING TABLE
HOW I DISCOVERED THE HEALING POWER OF FOOD AND TOUCH
DOCTORS SAID I was HEALTHY, But inside, my body was sending signals I could no longer ignore
My journey began over a decade ago, when I faced some health challenges that pushed me to explore alternative paths to wellness. I was diagnosed with PCOS and every doctor I visited wanted to "fix" it with the birth control pill. Instead, I chose to listen to my gut. Literally! After just two months on a plant-based diet, all my symptoms disappeared. That's when I realized the incredible power food has on our overall wellbeing and I became deeply passionate about plant-based nutrition.
I've always had an active and sporty lifestyle from gymnastic to volleyball to weight lifting and yoga, and I recently began to tune into what my body truly need to feel strong, balanced, and energized. That's why today I eat with more flexibility, without strict rules. I've gently reintroduced eggs into my diet when I feel like it, especially to support my physical energy and protein needs. So yes, you'll find a few recipes that include them too ;)
At the same time, another passion of mine was blooming, one that had always been part of me. Since I was little, I felt naturally drawn to touch: giving massages was something that came instinctively, almost like a second nature. As the years went by, my curiosity grew. I wanted to dive deeper and and in 2001 I learned my first relaxation massage. Years later, I studied traditional Thai Foot Massage in Thailand and in 2025 I spent four transformative months in India, where I deepened my knowledge of Ayurvedic Abhyanga Massage and of course, Ayurvedic cooking too.
These experiences transformed not only my health, but my whole relationship with nourishment. During that same time in India, I also completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in the beautiful landscape of Kerala. This experience was not only physically transformative, but it gave me space to reflect deeply on how I live my life and how I want to share what I've learned. It opened up a new layer of awareness and presence in everything I do, from cooking, to giving a massage, to simply being.
The Thriving Table is the natural outcome of all of this, a space where I share my love for wholesome, vibrant recipes and the healing power of touch. I truly believe that real wellness comes from nurturing both body and soul, with conscious choices and an open heart.
MY PHILOSOPHY
Conscious Living
I believe in the power of plants to nourish, heal and sustain us. I see food as a daily opportunity to live with intention. I choose ingredients that are as close to their natural state as possible, vibrant with life and flavor. I shop mindfully, cook with love, and try to waste as little as I can.
It's not about being perfect, it's about being aware. Aware of where things come from, how they make me feel, and the kind of energy I want to put into the world and inside me. Whether it's reusing a jar, composting scraps, or simply pausing to say thank you before a meal. These tiny acts help me feel more connected and in tune with life around me. Every action counts. Every choice is a seed.
Yoga Philosophy & Life Balance
Drawing from ancient Ayurvedic wisdom, I focus on cultivating balance through seasonal eating and a deep understanding of my unique constitution. To me, food is more than fuel, it's medicine, energy and a daily ritual of presence. Just like yoga, it's a path to awareness, a way of listening inward and aligning with what truly supports life.
My approach is intuitive and rooted in simplicity, honouring the natural rhythms of the body, the breath, and the Earth. Whether I'm on the mat, in the kitchen, or by the massage table, it's all about tuning in, slowing down and reconnecting with what nourishes: inside and out.
Mindful Daily Practice
For me, wellness doesn't have to be complicated. I believe in simple rituals with intention, the small things that quietly shape how we feel. A few deep conscious breaths before I start my day during early hours. A mug of warm lemon water while the world is still quiet. A moment of gentle stretching to wake my body.
A cup of sacred raw cacao prepared with intentions to open my heart. And yes, sometimes sipping mate to spark my focus (I'm a bit obsessed, to be honest!). These little practices help me stay grounded, feel connected, and bring a sense of ease into everyday life. No pressure, no perfection, just small, caring choices that bring me back to myself, one mindful moment at a time.
